- Engine and Air Filter = Multigrade Engine Oil 10W/40 to 20W/50
- Swivel Housing, Main Gearbox, Transfer Box, Rear PTO and pulley unit (if fitted), wheel hubs (on earlier models with a filling screw on the drive flange), Steering Relay, Differentials and Steering box = EP90
- Steering balljoints, wheel hubs (on later models without the screw in the drive flange) and propshaft universal joints = Multi-purpose lithium based grease.
- Brake and Clutch systems = Hydraulic fluid to a minimum of DOT3. Do not use silicone based fluids under any circumstances as these can rapidly rot the rubber seals.
This depends on how much money you have. The Weber carburettor is normally the cheapest but be aware that at acute angles offroad the float chamber doesn't work properly and you may find your engine cutting out.
- 2 Litre diesel - 19 to 26mpg, 11 to 15l/100km.
- 2.25 Litre diesel - 19 to 26mpg, 11 to 15l/100km.
- 2.25 Litre petrol - 17 to 22mpg, 13 to 17l/100km.
- 2.6 Litre petrol - 14 to 18mpg, 15 to 20l/100km.
At least 10 miles every 500 miles, although it is preferable to extend this to nearer to 50 miles every 500 miles. This ensure that the top swivel bush is lubricated otherwise rapid wear will occur.
