1. Why is the oil level in the transfer box too high?

Oil is probably leaking from the gearbox due to the seal between them leaking. This can be replaced without removing the gearbox. Take the inspection plate off the transfer box and remove the transfer gears until access is available to the seal. The seal can be removed by the use of a couple of screwdrivers and the new one fitted using a suitable drift.

5. Why can't I bleed my brakes with an Easibleed?

When you open one bleed nipple the imbalance in pressure causes the shuttle valve to operate blanking off what it sees as a leak on that part of the system.

6. Why can't I find spares at Halfords?

Some of Halfords computer systems list series three as S111, i.e. series one hundred and eleven. If the assistant queries for series 3 he won't find it.

9. What carburettor should I use?

This depends on how much money you have. The Weber carburettor is normally the cheapest but be aware that at acute angles offroad the float chamber doesn't work properly and you may find your engine cutting out.

11. How often should Free Wheeling Hubs be engaged?

At least 10 miles every 500 miles, although it is preferable to extend this to nearer to 50 miles every 500 miles. This ensure that the top swivel bush is lubricated otherwise rapid wear will occur
